Split Tests

268 views November 29, 2018 0

Email split testing, also known as A/B testing, means testing the control version of your email against its variation, another variant, where you have changed a single element, like an email subject line, a call to action (CTA) button, or a part of the design.

Split testing your email campaigns can help you:

  • Minimize the risk of running new campaigns by testing them before making permanent changes
  • Make decisions about your email marketing campaigns on real data
  • Find out which campaign is working and which one isn’t, based on actual response of the customers
  • Create more effective email marketing campaigns based on the insights you gain, resulting in more engagement, leads and sales.

To create a split test follow the instruction:

  1. Navigate to “Split Tests” page in the “Outbound” section (Menu -> Outbound -> Split Tests)
  2. Click “Create new Split Test” button
  3. Type in the Campaign Title
  4. Select the Contact List and the Segments
  5. Select the number of splitting groups (2 or 3)
  6. Select the Variable to test
  7. Select the first and the second Templates
  8. Select the launch type (Manual, Now, or Schedule)
  9. Type in the “From Email” and the “From Name”
  10. Click “Save and Preview” button
