Tags are labels you create to bring your own reporting structure into SmartSender and get aggregated reports based on criteria only you know. Tags are highly customizable, so you can create and assign them as you see it. Read more about tags in our blog posts.
How tags work
You tag messages using different features in SmartSender platform (for example: templates, auditory segments, etc) to get hourly/daily/monthly aggregated reports of all messages with such tag.
Where to see tag reports
- You can filter tags in all reports of Analytics section as usual.
- Keep in mind that SmartSender also automatically tag your messages with the title of campaign/split test/automation.
- If you tag one message with two tags, do not include such tags in one report as aggregated reports can not merge and you will have incorrect data calculated twice.
Create a Tag
- Navigate to “Tags” page (Components > Tags)
- Click “Add New Tag” button
- Enter Tag title and description
- Click “Save” button
Requirements
- Tags should be 30 characters or less.
- Any tags starting with an underscore are reserved for internal use and will not work.
- Tags should not be unique or change frequently, as SmartSender store and aggregate only first 100 per account.
