Make your unsubscribe page.
In this article, we will tell you how you can create your own branded unsubscribe page that matches the design of your website.
Here are some things to know before you begin this process:
- Use “{{unSubscribeUrl}}” variable anywhere in your emails template and SmartSender will generate unique unsubscribe link for each message you send.
- Learn more about all available standard system variables by following link.
- Standard subscribes/unsubscribe pages are available by default with neutral design.
- When you create a subscribes/unsubscribe page and enable it will be automatically used as default in case if user clicks the unsubscribe link in email.
- IMPORTANT: You need to set up separate custom unsubscribe page for List-Unsubscribe mechanism.
- Several pages of the same type cannot work at the same time.
To set up a custom unsubscribe page, you need:
Step-by-step instructions:
- Go to Unsubscribe page (Menu -> Settings -> Unsubscribe page)
- Click “Add New Page” button
- Choose one of the three options:
- Drag & drop editor
- Your own HTML
- Redirect URL
- After, you have created the page, save it and select a type to subscribe or unsubscribe page.
Drag & drop editor: Drag content blocks to create the layout you want. Insert your text and images. Choose color theme or make your own style.
Your own HTML: Write or import your own HTML (this one is for experts)
- Use HTML text – Just put HTML code of your unsubscribe page into our editor
- Use HTML file – Or you can upload a file with your unsubscribe page.

- Find the list of your pages in the “Unsubscribe Pages” tab.
- Column “Action” has the following tools:
- Edit – You can edit and improve each of your pages. Make sure to save your changes before exiting your edited pages.
- Preview – the easiest way to check your subscribe /unsubscribe pages before sending it. You will see the visual version of your template for both desktop or mobile devices.
- Delete – If a page is no longer needed, you can delete it.
- Important: If you delete the subscription or unsubscribe page, we automatically apply our default page with links.
- You can easily find a certain page either by name in the “Search” field.
You can use Variables. Here are some defaults in our system:
